Attend NY Jets football game
The NY Jets are one of two football teams in New York, along with the NY Giants. They play their home games with the Giants at MetLife Stadium, one of the largest football stadiums in the United States. Although the Giants are more successful and also more famous than the Jets, the mood of the Jets fans in the stadium is worthy of a Superbowl champ. As a Jets fan, I was blown away when I first visited MetLife Stadium. I often go to soccer games in Germany, but I've never experienced what goes on in America before and during the game in Germany. For Americans, going to a football game is a huge event. There's a BBQ in the parking lot in front of the stadium, a game of football, expert football talk, all hours before the game. Watching a game is a must for every football fan. A visit is also recommended for people who have nothing to do with football. I was able to convince my girlfriend and a friend about football.

The tickets are mobile e-tickets that you show on your smartphone to gain access to the stadium. It is not necessary to print out these mobile tickets. The tickets will be sent to you via email after purchase. So you will definitely get the tickets on time. I How much does a ticket to a NY Jets game cost? Of course it always depends on where you want to sit and what you want to spend. A ticket for a regular season game starts at around $50 per seat, but these sell out quickly. Expect to pay between $100-$300 to see a game at MetLife Stadium.​ I tip for cheap NY Jets tickets ​ If you are in New York between the beginning of August and the end of August, you can get cheap tickets for the preseason games. What are preseason games? Preseason games are the pre-season tryouts each team plays against another NFL team. These games usually don't sell out that quickly and you can get seats in the 100 grandstand, i.e. rows 1 - 30 (see MetLife Stadium seating plan below) for a mere $25 per seat. The atmosphere is just as good as in a regular game :-)

I How do I get to MetLife Stadium


The Jets' stadium is not in New York City, as the team's name might suggest, but in New Jersey. That sounds a long way at first, but it's only a stone's throw away by public transport. There are several ways to get to the stadium. I want to introduce you to what I think is the best way.

I Arrival by bus


Within an hour you can reach MetLife Stadium with the Meadowlands Express. Just go to the Port Authority Bus Terminal across from the New York Times.

About 3 hours before the start of the game at the terminal. There are special ticket counters for the Jets game, not to be missed. You can also conveniently buy tickets for the bus online. A bus will take you to the stadium within an hour for $14.

I Arrival by train


Another good way to get to MetLife Stadium is by train. To get to the stadium from Manhattan, you must exit from 34 Penn Station or 7th Avenue in Manhattan. You then board the NJ Transit train towards New Jersey. Tickets cost $11 round trip and can also be conveniently purchased on site via "Tap and Go".

Drive to the Secaucus Junction and get off there. From there you have to take the train towards Meadowlands Rail Station. When you get there, you will be right in front of the MetLife Stadium.

I The best seats


One can say in advance that you have a good view of the playing field from every seat of the 82,500. The stadium is built in such a way that you can follow what's happening on the lawn from the top.

But my favorite places are blocks 108 - 118 or blocks 133 - 144 from here you have the best view and we are also very close to the field and the football professionals.
